Ready and it’s a GO
Fresh off the burner, Pixel Ignite Studio can now introduce itself to the world where a variety of challenges awaits. A new birth was needed to take the necessary steps for growth and success. It took some time of rehashing the old and welcoming the new in order to get to this step. And it can be said it was a trying but rewarding one when all is said and done. In getting here, tools not quite given enough props like Fireworks and one already setting the marketing abuzz, Expression Engine became a corner stone in this reincarnation of sorts.
Fireworks, isn’t well thought of as say Photoshop and Illustrator. To many designers it is view as a watered down version with little challenge to the the others. However, until one experiences it, your perspective is skewed. Fireworks, is designed and built for web graphics mostly vector creation. It can create quite brilliant icons, illustrations that would turn a few heads. Hence if it continues get improvement, it won’t be long before it starts to give both Photoshop and Illustrator a serious run for it’s moment.
Another tool used is Expression Engine. A decent amount of research was done in choosing a CMS, and it can came down between WordPress and Expression Engine. However, Expression Engine took the edge for these reasons:
1. It’s designer friendly to use overall. Now mind it the setup can be a hassle at times but intuitive interface and seamlessly blog like setup is what got the nod.
2. If the designer(s) find it easy them it’s could be easy to teach a client. Hey, anything that could make the client get up and running is a big sell.
Overall it was a good experience. The site still needs a little tweaks here and there but overall satisfied so far.
I am very impressed and enlightened with the site set up and how uncomplicated it is. Especially for a novice like myself to photoshop etc i think you do a great job of giving details so one can grasp the concepts. KUDOS Mr. Wedderburn!!
Hey Mrs Johnson,
Thanks for the compliments and checking. Keep it up.
